A great chapter indeed. Reading about the plight of bees right now with the disease that's affecting their colonies is disturbing. We need more bee-minded humans to assist our friends in their time of danger as they have helped us for so long.

I walk into rooms sometimes and think about "bee-mind" and how if I had such a skill; like Madrone at the hospital, I would be bombarded with flourescent lights, toxic floors/paint/furniture and fumes, or the scents of peoples fear, illness, attraction or aversion. I always wonder if I could handle it like her; she is so inspirationally strong and wise.

i think about them hiking the rolling hills of California and my love of California when I was reading it and imagining that it was myself and my best friends in Santa Cruz.

I join you in prayer. May the bees forever pollinate the flowers of the earth. Cool memories/connection to the story. I remember being in San Fransico while reading the book and imagining the gondalas and majikal celebrations; streets filled with people of all cultures, drumming, chanting, whirling... and what it would be like for Madrone; or Bird, to remember it while living up to what had opened as their journey. The turmoil they felt and faced, quenched by divine memories of love, and community. Tribulations so intense, the memories near faded and seemed illusive. Scary. Madrone walked a fine line between the worlds; el mondo male and el mondo bueno, and she held on to a thread of faith, determined to cross for the highest good; a selfless heart which the bees could sense more then anything, like when they hovered over her floating body in the ocean, buzzing rythms of peace and calm, until Isis arrived.

I think that San Fran really is the holy city. I think that is where i will end up right at point zero, and i honestly believe it will be the place where the avatars of light reclaim a whole city.

Cool. It is definately powerful. Upon visiting, I felt at home. More there then anywhere I have ever been. The feeling was quite deep. I know though, I probably shall never return. Unless I let go of serving where I am, and at point zero, head for the bay by foot or whatever means are accessible. As much as it was home, I belong here. I think. Here too feels like home in ways, just exhausting at times to be away from the ocean and mountain tops and as many like minds. Sometimes the bee needs to leave the hive upon the queens request, and above all, it is her that devotingly I serve.

srita kamala kuca mandala dhrta kundala! e
kalita lalita vana mala! Jaya jaya deva hare

"Jayadeva Gosvami is the author of this song and he is glorifying his istadeva Sri Sri Radha-Madhava. Here Kamala refers to Srimati Radhika. Vana mala means 'a garland of forest flowers.' Who will wear simple forest flowers? Ramacandra? No. Vana mala is worn only by vanacari, Lord Krsna. Kalita lalita means that Lord Krsna’s garland reaches from His neck to His knees or feet. It is made of flowers of five or seven colors and many pendants of fragrant tulsi manjaris. Bees are hovering around it, attracted by the makaranda (honey) oozing from the flowers. His kundala, earrings, are His acute curiosity to hear about the qualities of Srimatiji. May that Gopinath be victorious!
